Representatives from the Australian Space Agency, CSIRO, Austrade, Defence Space Command and state and territory governments greeted over 10,000 space enthusiasts at the world’s leading annual space event.
Our ‘Team Australia’ participation aimed to raise the profile of the Australian space industry, talent and capability.
Key events and activities at the 4 day Symposium included:
- Head of the Australian Space Agency, Enrico Palermo participated in the Heads of Agencies panel alongside the UK, Canada, France, Korea, Germany and Japan. Enrico highlighted how Australia is creating meaningful partnerships with international counterparts in space.
- Chief Technology Officer of the Australian Space Agency, Aude Vignelles met with Dr Prasun Desai, NASA’s Deputy Associate Administrator of the Space Technology Mission Directorate, to extend our Space Act Agreement as part of the Trailblazer program.
- Austrade hosted a ‘Team Australia’ networking event which drew a huge crowd, providing a platform for Australian companies to define their unique capabilities and offerings.
The Space Symposium brings together all sectors of the global space community. This includes space agencies, commercial businesses, military, cyber security, research and manufacturing.
Held at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, USA, Space Symposium has brought together space leaders from around the world to discuss, address, and plan for the future of space since the inaugural event in 1984.
