The Australian Space Agency launched in July 2018 with the goal of growing the Australian space sector to $12 billion and creating another 20,000 jobs by 2030.
To track our progress, we are measuring the contribution of space activities to the Australian economy. We invite organisations contributing to the space industry to complete an economic activity survey of the Australian space sector, conducted by independent consultancy, the Nous Group.
With rapid industry growth, there are many opportunities for Australian involvement and we expect to become an important part of the global space supply chain. The Agency plays an important role in ensuring Australia is ready and globally connected to make the most of these opportunities.
The results of the survey will help develop a strong economic baseline to measure growth and will inform the Agency’s future strategic direction.
About the survey
We require only one survey response from each organisation or company that is actively contributing to the space industry. Nous Group may have already contacted your company directly to fill in the survey. Before starting the survey, please check your organisation has not already contributed to avoid duplication.
The Agency will store the data that Nous Group will collect and analyse in line with our department's privacy policy. Any published results will be de-identified and aggregated to prevent re-identification. Information gathered by this survey will be retained and may be used for similar future activities run by the Agency and its representatives.
Survey closes 13 April 2020.
