Professor Melissa De Zwart
Melissa is the Deputy Director and Chief Investigator of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space and Professor, Space Law and Governance, Andy Thomas Centre for Space Resources, at the University of Adelaide.
She is a prominent legal researcher, working in the areas of commercial and military uses of outer space, encompassing both domestic and international space law. Melissa has worked closely with the Australian space industry, including previously serving as Deputy Director and Board Member of the Space Industry Association of Australia.
Julia Erceg
A recent Honours graduate in High Energy Astrophysics, Julia is currently pursing PhD opportunities in the United Kingdom. She started in the space sector through a bachelor’s degree, completing a double major in theoretical and experimental physics, which fostered a love for all things space.
Her prior research focuses on studying active galactic nuclei (AGN) and how their structure affects the emission that we see from them. Julia looks forward to continuing her research of active galaxies and their structure through a PhD in the near future.
Gabrielle Annese
Gabrielle is a graduate aerospace engineer at Nova Systems with a strong passion for space exploration and education. She actively involved in STEM outreach through a Defence Engineering Graduates of South Australia group and as an Events Officer for the Adelaide University Space Society.
Gabrielle has been part of the university's Adept Rocketry Division as a Structural Team Member, where she designs and launches high-powered rockets for nation-wide competitions.
