The Australian Space Discovery Centre features over 20 exhibits, an interactive space gallery, a 'Close to Home' exhibition, and a theatrette that host a range of space-related events and activities.

Tickets and general sessions

Pre-booked tickets are not required to attend a general session at the Discovery Centre. 

These sessions are free, self-guided, and do not have a time limit. 

Regular presentations are held across the day.

Entry for all visitors is free, but visitors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a person over the age of 17.

The Discovery Centre is a breastfeeding-friendly institution. There is a Carer’s room available for use, which has a seat, a tap, a sink, and a microwave.

The Discovery Centre has written directions and explanations on most of its exhibits along with clear signage.

The venue's Theatrette and Endeavour Room have been fitted with a hearing augmentation system. Our Space Communicators can provide visitors the corresponding headphones upon request.

The Discovery Centre has available seperate female and male restrooms, each with an accessible cubicle. There is also an additional separate unisex accessible toilet and shower.

The Discovery Centre accessible toilet and shower is not fitted with a hoist or fixed ceiling hoist. However, the City of Adelaide has public Changing Places with a fixed ceiling Hoist (model: CHS Prism Medical C450) with lifting capacity of 205 kg at nearby Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka (Park 14).

At the Discovery Centre there are five seating pods and two higher tables in the lobby.

The venue's theatrette offers a seating capacity of 60 visitors.

The eastern and the western promenades outside the Discovery Centre have built-in seating in the form of concrete benches. 

The Discovery Centre is fully accessible with no stairs or ramps upon entry or exit. Wheelchair users will be able to freely move through all areas of the venue. 

The surrounding Lot Fourteen precinct is also all flat without stairs.
